TKV commences construction of five key projects in Quang Ninh

 - On August 19, 2025, in response to the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 136/CĐ-TTg, the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Group (Vinacomin – TKV) held groundbreaking ceremonies for five major projects in Quảng Ninh, marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).

The projects include:

  1. Ha Rang Underground Mine Expansion (Hòn Gai Coal Company) – with a capacity of 900,000 tons per year and an investment of VND 1,413 billion, to be implemented during 2025–2029. This is one of three nationally significant projects, connected live from Hanoi, together with 250 projects across 34 provinces and cities.

  2. Underground Miners’ Housing Complex (Nui Beo Coal JSC – Vinacomin) – comprising 398 apartments with a total investment of VND 299 billion, aimed at improving workers’ living conditions and attracting high-quality human resources.

  3. Cọc Sáu – Đèo Nai Mine Cluster Development (Đèo Nai – Cọc Sáu Coal JSC – TKV) – with a capacity of 2.7 million tons per year and an investment of VND 2,074 billion, designed to enhance mining efficiency and ensure operational safety.

  4. Nam Mau Coal Processing Plant (Nam Mau Coal Company – TKV) – with a capacity of 2.5 million tons per year, covering an area of 17 hectares. The project will apply modern, closed-loop technology to minimize environmental impact, with completion expected in 2027.

  5. Tan Yen – Đong Trang Bach Underground Mine (Uong Bi Coal Company – TKV) – with a capacity of 450,000 tons per year and a total investment of VND 1,201 billion.
