General Manager Fan Shaocong warmly welcomed General Director Vu Anh Tuan and the TKV delegation, emphasizing that this visit holds special significance as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China and the Vietnam–China People-to-People Exchange Year. He highly appreciated TKV’s achievements and expressed sincere thanks for the effective cooperation between the two groups’ affiliated units over the years. He believed that amid the ongoing global energy transformation towards innovation and low emissions, the two groups would have even more substantive and effective areas of cooperation in the future.
During the meeting, Mr. Zhang Lin, General Manager of Tiandi Science & Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CCTEG, introduced CCTEG as a national-level enterprise and a pioneer in scientific and technological innovation in China’s coal industry, operating under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council.
Over the course of more than 70 years of development, CCTEG has established a comprehensive system of scientific innovation and technical services that integrates basic research, technology development, equipment manufacturing, engineering simulation, testing and inspection, and strategic data management. The Group has developed six major business areas: mine safety, intelligent equipment, design and construction, green and low-carbon mining, and emerging industries.
CCTEG currently manages over 100 subsidiaries across major cities in China and several overseas branches. The Group has designed more than 80% of China’s coal mines, developed over 80% of advanced technologies and equipment used in coal mines, and undertaken over 70% of major national science and technology projects in the coal industry. CCTEG has driven numerous breakthroughs in coal mining technology, pioneered China’s first intelligent mining face, and led the construction of more than half of the country’s intelligent coal mines.
According to General Manager Fan Shaocong, based on CCTEG’s strengths and TKV’s current situation and practical needs, the two groups could explore cooperation in scientific and technological research, focusing particularly on intelligent coal mines. Other potential areas include the supply of high-tech mining equipment and the development of a pilot cooperation model applying advanced scientific and technological solutions in the coal industry through various forms such as EPC or BOT.
Speaking at the meeting, General Director Vu Anh Tuan expressed his pleasure in leading the TKV delegation to visit and work with CCTEG, and sincerely thanked CCTEG — especially Mr. Fan Shaocong — for the warm and thoughtful reception despite his busy schedule. He appreciated the candid and detailed sharing on CCTEG’s experiences and achievements over the past seven decades.
Mr. Vu Anh Tuan emphasized that the experiences, technologies, and advanced equipment currently being applied in coal mines developed by CCTEG are areas of great interest to TKV. He welcomed Mr. Fan Shaocong’s proposals for cooperation directions and suggested that both sides appoint focal points to jointly study and implement specific cooperation activities in the near future.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Trung, Member of the TKV Members’ Council, introduced TKV’s core business areas and shared some orientations to promote cooperation between the two sides. He reaffirmed that TKV always seeks to strengthen cooperation with Chinese enterprises in the spirit of “cooperation for mutual development”, thereby contributing to the deepening and strengthening of Vietnam-China economic relations.
Also attending the meeting were leaders of TKV’s departments and offices, along with the Directors of Hon Gai, Nam Mau, and Ha Lam units. Members of the delegation actively discussed and exchanged ideas with CCTEG representatives, gaining valuable insights into mechanization and modernization techniques that could be applied to TKV’s operations.
Concluding the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan cordially invited Deputy Secretary and General Manager Fan Shaocong, along with other CCTEG leaders, to visit Vietnam and work with TKV to further discuss cooperation opportunities and deepen the partnership between the two groups.
General Manager Fan Shaocong expressed his gratitude and gladly accepted the invitation, promising to arrange a visit to TKV at the earliest opportunity./.
