TKV and the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee coordinate efforts to resolve challenges and promote production and business activities.

During the meeting, leaders from TKV member units - including the General Corporations of Minerals, Viet Bac Mining Industry, Power Generation, and Mining Chemicals - together with representatives from provincial departments, agencies, and local authorities, conducted a candid assessment of the coordination efforts over recent years.

To date, both sides have successfully resolved 7 out of 16 outstanding issues.

The conference devoted significant time to in-depth discussions on solutions for the remaining challenges, particularly issues related to resettlement and land clearance to support production activities. Planning for mining waste disposal sites, especially at key units such as Khanh Hoa Coal and Nui Hong Coal, was identified as a critical factor in maintaining and increasing production output.

Speaking at the meeting, TKV Deputy General Director Phan Xuan Thuy, on behalf of the Group’s leadership, expressed appreciation for the close attention and support provided by leaders of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee toward TKV’s operations.

He emphasized: “Resolving these challenges in 2026 carries special significance as it will establish a solid foundation for the operations of TKV’s member units in the coming years. If waste disposal locations can be addressed, coal mines will be able to increase production output, thereby ensuring fuel supply for power plants, boosting revenue, and contributing more to local budget collections.”

Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy also affirmed that TKV fully recognizes its responsibility in contributing to Thai Nguyen Province’s goal of achieving double-digit economic growth.

Vice Chairwoman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Loan acknowledged TKV’s important contributions to the province’s socio-economic development.

To resolve the remaining issues, Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan proposed that both sides maintain the highest level of coordination. She also affirmed that the province is actively directing efforts to update and adjust relevant planning frameworks.

She requested provincial departments, sectors, and local authorities to closely follow the commitments signed between TKV and the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee; implement tasks in strict compliance with legal regulations; enhance proactiveness; and create the most favorable conditions for TKV member units to operate effectively.

“The close cooperation between TKV and Thai Nguyen Province not only helps enterprises stabilize production but also serves as an important driving force for the locality to achieve its socio-economic targets in 2026 and in the coming years,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan emphasized./.
