Inaugurating Tan Thuan wind power project

Ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate Tan Thuan Wind Power Plant project.

Tan Thuan Wind Power Project (phase 1 and phase 2) with a total capacity of 75 MW, an average generation of 225 GWh /year, including 18 wind turbine towers, developed in Hoa Lu Hamlet, Tan Thuan commune, Dam Roi district, Ca Mau province, invested by Ca Mau Renewable Energy Investment Joint Stock Company. The project has been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) in Decision No. 1402/QD-BCT dated April 11, 2016 and approved for supplementing to Power Development Planning in Decision No. 4940/QD-BCT dated December 27, 2018.

The project is the first offshore wind power project in Ca Mau province, EPC constructed by Power Engineering Consulting Company 2 (PECC 2) and supplied by equipment of Siemens GAMESA.

The project was started to construction at December 27, 2019, overcome many difficulties it put into commercial operation before November 01, 2021.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet, Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee recognized, high appreciated and praised the efforts of relevant departments, agencies in Dam Roi district in site clearance; investors, designers and contractors in constructing projects with ensuring high quality, progress schedule and safety.

At the ceremony, on behalf of CMC investor, PECC2 and Contractor Mr. Phan Vu presented 30 gratitude houses to poor and near-poor households in Ca Mau Province.
