HS Hyosung Advanced Materials, in partnership with Nuriflex, has completed and commissioned a 17.5 MWp rooftop solar power system at Nhon Trach Industrial Park in Dong Nai Province. The project is part of the company’s strategy to integrate renewable energy with digital technologies, with a target to expand total installed capacity to 37.5 MWp by August 2026.

The initiative represents a key milestone in transforming the Vietnam facility into a large-scale, environmentally friendly production hub. Alongside the solar system, the company has deployed an IoT-based digital energy management platform that enables real-time monitoring, system connectivity, fault detection, remote control, and performance analytics. This helps optimize operations, improve transparency, and enhance overall production efficiency.

According to company representatives, once the full system becomes operational in the second half of 2026, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials expects to save more than KRW 6 billion annually in electricity costs. The project will also significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the company’s foundation for sustainable growth.

Rooftop solar installations contribute to reducing carbon emissions and enhancing ESG performance at HS Hyosung Advanced Materials’ Vietnam facility.

At its Vietnam operations, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials closely monitors carbon emission reductions using detailed data from its IoT-based energy management system, enabling more effective compliance with global requirements on renewable energy use and emissions transparency.

The Nhon Trach facility is a key supply base for major global tire manufacturers, including Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Continental, and Pirelli. The solar project is therefore expected to further strengthen the company’s ESG profile amid increasingly stringent green supply chain standards in global markets.

Beyond infrastructure upgrades, the investment in renewable energy and smart energy management systems serves as a strategic foundation to strengthen ESG performance across the entire supply chain.

A company representative emphasized that by placing its Vietnam operations at the center of this transition, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials is advancing both renewable energy adoption and energy efficiency improvements, while proactively meeting the expectations of international partners.

Looking ahead, the company reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating green energy transition alongside digital innovation, reinforcing its position for sustainable growth in the global market./.
