Quang Binh is a coastal province in the Central region with an area of ​​8,065 km2, a seacoast length of about 115 km and many advantages in terms of land, radiation intensity, number of sunshine hours in the year, wind speed, traffic conditions and connection to the national electricity grid... which make Quang Binh to become one of the provinces having a large potential for wind and solar power projects.

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) have published “The Report on Biomass Energy in Sugar Industry of Vietnam” which shows that Vietnam Sugar Industry can generate a clean energy output of 4,300 GWh per year that sufficiently supplies electricity for 630,000 households.

In addition to its “Light up the Spratly Islands” project, Vietnamese renewable energy firm SolarBK, in 2009, installed a hybrid power supply system using both wind and solar energy with a capacity of 824kWh per day.

The 2018 Korea Energy Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy was the 38th largest ever event with a participation of the 6th National Museum of Renewable Energy.

The Czech - Vietnam Energy Forum took place on February 20 in Hanoi, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, the Electricity of Vietnam , the Federation of Czech Industry and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam.
