Camau provincial people’s committee (PPC) has just sent a proposal to Ministry of Industry and Trade for supplementing a 50 MW (annual output of 73.904 million kWh) solar power project of Long Hung company in the Camau provincial power development planning.

The Party Staff-Member Board of Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has just issued Resolution No. 21-NQ/BCSĐ, dated January 10, 2020 on the principles and  processes for adjusting and supplementing the power projects into the power development planning (PDP) in an order of prioritizing the grid first, power plant latter, and prioritizing the areas with a few renewable energy (RE) projects and areas with an ability to release capacities of power plants.

Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) informed: Recently, there a number of power grid projects for releasing power of solar and wind projects was completed over progress. However, to strengthen the ability of the power grids for releasing power of renewable energy (RE) in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces, EVN proposes to supplement a number  of power grid projects in these provinces to the power development planning (PDP).

The Prime Minister has agreed to supplement An Tho wind power project (phase I) with a capacity of 200 MW into Adjusted National Power Development Planning (PDP+). This is a largest wind power project in Vietnam so far. 

The Government Office has just issued a notice on the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the meeting on perfecting the National Power Development Planning for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 (PDP VIII).
