The Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 240/ QD-TTg dated 24/2/2021 on establishing the Council for appraising the National Power Development Planning in 2021 – 2030 period with a vision up to 2045 (PDP VIII). Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung is assigned to be the Chairman of the Council.

The Prime Minister has approved the content of the project on the National Power Development Planning in 2021 – 2030 period with a vision up to 2045 (PDP VIII).

The Ministry of Construction (MOC) has just sent to Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) a paper of the consensus to add Hong Phong 1 Solar Power project and Hoa Thang 1.2 Wind power project in Binh Thuan province into National Power Development Planning.

After considering the proposal of MOIT and opinions of the relevant ministries, Prime Minister has agreed to add Nhon Trach 3&4 projects to the National Power Development Planning VII (Adjustment).

The Prime Minister has just approved the adjustment project of Vietnam Power Development Planning in 2011 - 2020 period with an outlook up to 2030, for an aim to sufficiently supply domestic electricity demand and meet the socio-economic development objective of the country with an average GDP growth of about 7.0% per year in 2016-2030 period.

According to the Government Electronic newspaper, in on December 5, 2014 Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai chaired a meeting of the State Steering Committee on the National Power Development Planning, for listening to the report and primary considering adjustment project of National Power Development Planning.
