On January 11, 2019 The Prime Minister issued the Decision to amend and supplement a number of articles of the Decision No. 11/2017 / QD-TTg of the Prime Minister dated April 11, 2017 on incentive mechanism for developing solar power projects in Vietnam. In which, there is modification of the regulations on electricity prices for the rooftop solar power projects.

The Prime Minister has just directed Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) to restructure, reorganize and found the dependent accounting units under supervising of the State Capital Management Committee.

The Prime Minister (PM) has just solved the problems on handling ash and slag in some of BOT coal fired thermal power plants (TPP) as flows: Hai Duong, Vinh Tan 1 projects apply the regulations on slag ground at the time of signing BOT contracts; Nam Dinh 1, Nghi Son 2, Van Phong 1, Vung Ang 2, Vinh Tan 3 and Song Hau 2 projects maintain the areas of slag grounds as approved in the feasibility study reports.

The Prime Minister has approved in writing document the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) on adjusting and supplementing the Hoa Phat Dung Quat PPP into the National Power Development Planning in the 2011-2020 period, with a vision to 2030.

The Prime Minister has approved the policy for investment in construction of the 500 kV lines Quang Tri – Doc Soi and Doc Soi – Pleiku 2 with a goal to strengthen transission capability of the 500 kV grid of the national power system, contribute to guarantee electricity supply for the souththern power system in period when this system could not be self-sufficient and optimize electricity generation - transmission in operating power national system.

The Prime Minister has approved the project on Restructuring the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) with the main business fields as coal, minerals – metallurgy, electricity and industrial explosives.

Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has haven a paper to Prime Minister (PM) on the proposal to increase export quota of high quality coal dust to Japan in the condition that coal export to China is difficult due to the technical barriers of this country.

The Prime Minister (PM) has just approved the project “Adjusting the development planning of the coal industry in 2016 – 2020 period with outlook up to 2030” in which, the PM decided to adjust the list of some infrastructure projects; supplement the list and closed corner boundary coordinates of the projects for maintaining coal production.

On April 22, 2017, at the exhibition “Pride of Vietnam Intelligence” in Da Nang city, the two products of PetroVietnam (PVN) were honored. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended and awarded Certificates of Merit to these products.

Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc, has asked the ministries, agencies and Ha Nam Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) to support and facilitate Hydraulic-Machine Co., Ltd (HMC) for improving, successful test operating and putting into commercial production the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) technology to contribute to environmental pollution decrease and economic development.
