Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on February 14 cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant in the northern province’s Thai Thuy district.

The Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corp., Ltd. (Vinacomin) loaded its first tonnes of coal onto the Viet Thuan Sky ship at Cam Pha port in the northern province of Quang Ninh on February 5 (the first day of the Lunar NewYear).

This is an important milestone for completing the test to put the unit No2 into commercial operation in August of 2018.
