Electricity of France will develop Son My-1 Thermal Power Plant

Son My-1 TPP is one of the Son My TPP projects including Son My-1-2-3 with a total capacity of 4000MW in Son My Petroleum Industry Service Complex, Son My commune, Ham Tan district, Binh Thuan province.
Son My-1 is a LNG fired Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) project including 3 units with a total capacity of 2,000MW. The project has been approved in the Power Development Planning-VII (adjusted) with the expectation of putting into operation in 2027.
Today EDF is one of the largest power producers in the world, it owns and operates a diverse range of power plants (nuclear, coal, gas, renewable energy) with a total capacity of 120 GW, among which the capacity of gas/LNG power plants is about 8.6% of the total installed capacity of the power system.
EDF is currently a partner in Son My-1 TPP project investor group including EDF, Sojitz and Pacific Company.
