First igniting for unit 1 of Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant

 - On the morning of 23 February 2022, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Le Van Thanh came to check the progress of the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Project (TPP). DPM welcomed the important milestone of the Thai Binh 2 TPP as the first igniting and considered that this is an important milestone for the project to finish in 2022.

According to the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) - the project investor, up to now, the project reaches progress of 88.75% including the design work of nearly 100%, material and equipment procurement of nearly 96%, construction and installation of nearly 88% and test running of nearly 26%.

Exchanging views with PVN officials, contractors, the workers of the construction units, at the construction site, DPM Le Van Thanh highly appreciated and praised the investor, the project management board, and the EPC general contractor for the high responsibility, strength, methodical and scientific implementations in the organization, financial, personnel activities, administration and contracts.

Up to now "We have successfully organized the first ignition milestone for unit 1 by oil in the time schedule as planned”, said DPM.

The DPM requested to mobilize the means to ensure the planned progress milestones, in which to strive for connecting with the power system by oil on April 30, 2022.

DPM is also required for ensuring absolute safety in the project construction, installation, test running and operation; improving the adequate care on health, material and spiritual life of employees; coordinating with Thai Binh local authorities to well ensure security inside and outside of the power plant.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized environmental protection and “greening” the construction site.

After inspecting, DPM Le Van Thanh had a meeting with the leaders of PVN, contractors and construction units about the project.
