Doosan Vina sponsored nearly 2.3 billion VND to help Quang Ngai province fight Covid-19

Currently, the Covid-19 epidemic is very complicated across the country. The Quang Ngai province is also being heavily affected by the 4th wave of Covid-19 epidemic when recorded 550 patients until today morning. Facing with that situation, on August 15, the Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to requisition the Dung Quat College of Technology’s dormitory as a field hospital with a total of 500 beds for treating Covid-19 patients.
To contribute to the epidemic prevention and control, Doosan Vina donated $100,000 (equivalent to 2,298 billion VND) for the province and the Department of Health to purchase testing machines, ventilators, X-ray machines and other necessary equipment to supply for the newly established field hospital.
This was the second time Doosan Vina contributes the budget and accompanied the local authorities to together step over the difficult period. Previously, Doosan Vina also contributed 200 million VND to the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province on June 2, 2021.
On behalf of the government Chairman of the Quang Ngai’s PPC Dang Van Minh highly appreciated Doosan Vina's timely support and significant contributions to the economic development and social security of the province through the export of industrial products to the worldwide markets as well as creating jobs and stable income for the local workers.
Regarding the prevention of epidemic at the company, since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic till now, Doosan Vina has always well implemented the regulations of the authorities at all levels, strengthened the implementation of the preventive measures so no suspected or infected cases have been recorded.
