The Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) has just sent a document to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) and Vietnam Electricity (EVN) on “Adjusting peak power generation hours and tariff of avoided costs for small and medium hydropower projects in 2021”.

Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) is a voluntary social-professional organization of 330 organizations and individuals operating in the energy sector, or in the fields related to the energy. Following many effective activities from previous years, in 2019 VEA implemented many active activities, contributing to the overall achievement of Vietnam's energy industry.

Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) has just sent to the Prime Minister the official Document No 48/HHNL- VP dated on September 25, 2019 for suggesting a proposal of a mechanism to encourage development of solar power projects in Vietnam.

On May 05, 2019, in Hanoi, Enterprize Energy Group and Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) held a workshop on supplementing Thang Long wind power project into the National Power Development Planning (PDP) for the period of 2011-2020, with a vision up to 2030.

On December 07, 2018, in Hanoi, Enter-prize Energy Pte. Ltd (EE)Investor in cooperation with Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) held a workshop on “Ke Ga off –shore wind power farm – a new breakthrough for economy of Vietnam”.

During the State visit of the Korean President Moon Jae-in to Vietnam, on March 22, 2018 in Hanoi, under the witness of Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh and Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Paik Un Gyu, the Chairman of the Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) Tran Viet Ngai and Vice Chairman of the Korean Society for New And Renewable Energy (KNREA) Kwon-Pyo Hong signed the cooperation agreement on renewable energy.

The international seminar “ New technologies on electricity supplies and grids, renewable energy and energy storage system” held by Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) and Korea ESS Industries Development Association (KEIDA) in cooperation with Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), PetroVietnam (PVN) and Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) on 14/3/2017 in Hanoi and 16/3/2017 in Ho Chi Minh city.

On September 12, 2015, a Preparatory Conference for establishment of the Medium and Small Hydropower - Green Energy Association (MSHP-GEA) took place in Hanoi under the chairmanship of Mr. Tran Viet Ngai, the President of Vietnam Energy Association (VEA), with participation of the VEA Steering Committee members, ministries, agencies and hydropower, renewable energy enterprises.
