Appointing the Chairman of PV Drilling Board of Directors

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Acting Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting Chairman of the Member Council, President &CEO of PVN hands the Decision to Dr. Do Van Khanh.

At the Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh delivered has awarded the Decision No. 2754 / QD-DKVN dated on 19/11/2015 of PVN Member Council on appointing Dr. Do Van Khanh as the Chairman of PV Drilling Board of Directors since Dec 1st, 2015.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh recorded and praised the achievements of PV Drilling leadership and staffs on journey of 14 years of foundation and development, especially in 2015 when the oil and gas industry heavily affected by the sharp fall  in crude oil prices. However, PV Drilling has minimized the negative effect on business efficiency thanks to its effective enterprise  governance system, timely response to negative fluctuations of the market.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh expressed his trust that PVN appointing Dr. Do Van Khanh as the Chairman of PV Drilling Board of Directors will help the corporation to maintain production and business efficiency, heading for its sustainable development, contributing to fulfill all the objectives that the Party and the State entrusted to the company in particular and PVN in general, due to Dr. Do Van Khanh was the founder of PV Drilling, who has contributed mostly in creating and building PV Drilling as strong and well-known as today.

Dr. Do Van Khanh expressed his deep gratitude for the trust and confidence of superior authorities and shares his emotional feelings when returning to PV Drilling where he has dedicated to build up. Dr. Do Van Khanh hopes to continue to receive the support of the PVN as well as PVEP and together with PV Drilling’s internal resources, he guaranteed to unite with PV Drilling’s management to do their best to overcome all the challenges ahead, to maintain the achievements within 14 years, to complete PV Drilling’s business plan in 2016 and reaching new successes.

Mr. Do Van Khanh was born in 1961 - PhD Petroleum Geology with nearly 30 years working in the oil and gas industry. He started his career as a drilling engineer at the Thai Binh Petroleum Company and has experienced many different professional positions such as drilling engineer at  Petroleum Drilling Company II (Petrovietnam II), Head of Representative of  Petrovietnam II in Da Nang, Deputy Director of the Odfjell Drilling Joint Venture, Director of PTSC Offshore enterprise (predecessor of PV Drilling).

Dr. Do Van Khanh is among Top 50 delegates in 50 years of foundation and development of Vietnam Oil and Gas Sector.
