Promoting Vietnam - Azerbaijan cooperation on petroleum field

  PetroVietnam Chairman of Board of Directors Nguyen Xuan Son works with Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Anar Imanov.

According to the PetroVietnam, Chairman Nguyen Xuan Son received and worked with Ambassador of Azerbaijan Republic - Anar Imanov in Ha Noi.

PetroVietnam Chairman high appreciated the interest, support, facilitating activities of the Azerbaijan Government for Vietnam, in general, and PetroVietnam, in particular, in the process of building and developing the petroleum industry.

PetroVietnam chairman Nguyen Xuan Son expressed his desire to continue to receive the attention and active support from the Azerbaijan Government, as well as from Ambassador of Azerbaijan in future, in order to promote effective cooperation between PetroVietnam and Azerbaijan Petroleum Company (SOCAR).

The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Anar Imanov said, beside the exploration, exploitation projects in Azerbaijan currently, SOCAR and PetroVietnam still have the ability to cooperate in third countries.

The Ambassador Anar Imanov confirmed, these issues need to get the concerning and promoting throughout from the key leaders of the two countries to the businesses of the two sides.

Two sides have agreed in promoting opportunities for potential cooperation in the petroleum field, from upstream, midstream to downstream, and recognized that the petroleum cooperation plays a very important role in promoting cooperative relations of Vietnam and Azerbaijan.

On this occasion, the PetroVietnam Chairman and  Azerbaijan Ambassador also mentioned a number of activities in overall development cooperation between PetroVietnam and SOCAR that will be implemented in  near future. Accordingly, two sides will exchange missions at leader level of corporations and technical expert groups with an aim to promote cooperation in search, exploration, exploitation, providing crude oil; commerce, training, technical support, sharing and transferring technologies, and, at the same time, organizing conferences and seminars.
