On July 29, 2016 at My Xuan 2 Industrial Zone, Tan Thanh Dist, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the Southern Power Management Board (SPMB) in coordination with relevant agencies held a ceremony to check and take over, and put into operation the My Xuan 220kV Transformer Substation (TS).

The A Roang hydropower plant in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue’s A Luoi district was fully put into operation on January 20, helping the locality access the national grid.

On September 15, the opening ceremony of Goldwind Vietnam Solution Factory was held in Ho Chi Minh City. The theme of the Solution Factory is "Your Expectation·Our Commitment 20+ Year Partnership". More than 70 local and regional partners from Electricity of Vietnam, developers, banks, construction subcontractors, colleges and universities participated in the ceremony.

On August 7, 2020  in Ninh Thuan province, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh - Deputy General Director of  Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), Chairman of the Investor - level Acceptance Council of EVN and members of the Council have tested  and accepted and put into use the Phuoc Thai 1 solar power plant.

At 9:00 am, on June 22, 2019, in Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province, the Electricity of Vietnam Generating Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO 3) held a celebrating ceremony for the commercial power generation of Vinh Tan 2 solar power project (SPP).

ABB has just inaugurated the solar power system with a capacity of 75kW in ABB Plant for High Voltage Equipment and Medium Voltage Electricity Distribution Solutions in Bac Ninh city. 

The 1,200-megawatt Lai Chau Hydropower Plant has been put into commercial operation one year ahead of schedule, becoming the third large hydropower station on the Da River.

On June 4, 2019, in Binh Nguyen commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province, Binh Nguyen solar power project (SPP) with a capacity of 49.608 MW and an average generation of 73,710 MWh per year, the largest in Quang Ngai SPP so far has been inaugurated and put into commercial operation. 

Mr. Phan Ngoc Cam Thanh, Deputy General Director of Vinh Tan company Ltd. Informed that Vinh Tan 1 thermal power plant (TPP) will be put into commercial operation earlier than the plan for a nearly year, in which, the unit#1 for 5 months and unit#2 for 6 months.

The Southern Power Project Management Board (SPMB) in collaboration with relevant units has held commissioning, powering and putting into operation the transformer No1 (250 MVA) of Ham Tan 220 kV Transformer Substation with a total capacity of 2x250MVA and voltage level of 220/110/.220kV.

In the afternoon of November 29, 2019, in Bac Phong and Loi Hai communes, Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan province, Trung Nam Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (Trungnam Group) held a ceremony to put the first turbine with a largest capacity of 4 MW in Vietnam today of Trung Nam wind power project (phase 2) into operation.

Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company has officially received Unit 2 of Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant (TPP) from the Thermal Power Project 3 Management Board, Consultants Contractors.

On May 12, Limama EPC general contractor  handed over the Unit No. 2 of Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant (TPP) to the Petroietnam (PVN) investor for commercial operation.

Unit 1 of 1120 MW BOT Mong Duong 2 TPP has been put into operation

The project with a total investment of VND 3.7 billion includes two main working parts as kiln digging and equipment installation.
