The preparation to put Vinh Tan 1 TPP into commercial operation

The unit #1 of the project was successfully for the first time synchronized with the national power system at April 18, 2028 and expects to be put into commercial operation in July of 2018.
Vinh Tan 1 TPP with a capacity of 1240 MW (2x620 MW), started for construction in July, 2015. This is the first in Vietnam TPP using supercritical boilers with anthracite pulverized coal fired. The total investment level of the project is US$ 1,775 billion invested by the China Southern Power Grid Co. Ltd. with 50%, China International Power Co. Ltd. with 45% and Vinacomin Power Corp. with 5%.
Recently, in working meeting with Ms. Mai Tien Dung, Minister of Government Office, Ms. Truong Dam Chi, the Vice General Director of China Southern Power Grid Co. Ltd. cum the Chairman of Vinh Tan 1 BOT project also said that the project will be completed for 11 months earlier than the plan committed by the investors with the Government of Vietnam before.
