Na Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant Project (in Loc Binh district, Lang Son province) is invested by the Vinacomin Electricity Corporation with a capacity of 110 MW (1 unit), with a total investment of over 4,000 billion VND.

The main fuel for the plant would be coal produced by Na Duong Coal Company (under Viet Bac Mining Industry Corporation – Vinacomin ).

The project is expected to be put into operation in 2026, Na Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant will supply about 750 million kWh to the national grid, and contribute to ensuring energy security for Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces and the Northeast region.

In addition, Na Duong Thermal Power Company needs to strengthen monitoring of equipment operations; review and develop scenarios and plans to handle incidents that may occur during the production process; prepare materials for maintenance and repair work, and ensure operational efficiency and productivity of power units.

According to updated data, in the first 2 months of 2024, Na Duong Thermal Power Company produced over 116 thousand MWh, connected to the grid over 103 thousand MWh with a total turnover of over 206 billion VND.

To ensure power output according to the set plan, especially during hot weather, Na Duong Thermal Power and Na Duong Coal together with the Group's specialized departments will strengthen direction, exchange and coordination to ensure power output according to the plan, to ensure the efficiency of production and business activities, as well as economic efficiency for the entire Na Duong coal-electricity complex.
