Recently, at the inspection of production and work session, at Na Duong Coal Company and Na Duong Thermal Power Company - Vinacomin, The Chairman of Member Council of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group Ngo Hoang Ngan requested ready to start construction of the Na Duong 2 Thermal Power project in early April 2024.

On the morning of December 28, 2023 in Hanoi, the joint venture contractor Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC (CC1) - DR.AZ Group Co., Ltd. (DR China) and subcontractors officially signed an EPC contract for Na Duong 2 Thermal Power Project (by the Investor as Vinacomin Electricity Corporation - Joint Stock Company).

On June 30, 2021 in Hanoi, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) held the signing ceremony of the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement and Credit Contract for Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Project (TPP).

The consortium of Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan), Hyundai Engineering and Construction (Korea), Construction Corporation No. 1 (Consortium MC - HDEC - CC1) has just been approved by Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) to win the bidding package. No. 15 (EPC-QT1) on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Project (TPP).

Lilama 18 Joint Stock Company signed a contract to install the whole equipment including turbines, generators and auxiliary equipment for Van Phong 1 Thermal Power project with Vietnam Toshiba Plant Systems & Services Corporation (TPSC Co., Ltd). The contract with a total value of over 284 billion VND requires Lilama 18 to complete installing turbines; generators; processing and installing pipes and steel structures; installing insulations and E&I.

At the conference on investment promotion of Quang Binh province in 2021 held on January 17, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Trinh Dinh Dung handed Vietnam Electricity (EVN) the Decision of the Prime Minister on approving the investment policy for Quang Trach 2 Thermal Power Plant Project.

On November 5, 2020, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Song Hau 1 Petroleum Power Project Management Board (Investor), and the General Contractor - Vietnam Machinery Erection Corporation (Lilama) successfully set on the first fire boiler of unit 2 of Song Hau 1 thermal power project (TPP). This event marks a milestone in success with a planned progress of the project.

On the official visit to Vietnam of French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe (from 2-4 November, 2018), Vietnam and France sides held the signing ceremony of the Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) on cooperation and agreements between the two countries and their businesses to promote consolidation in many areas.

Recently, at the meeting with the consortium of contractors (France EDF, Japan Sojitz and Vietnam Pacific company) of Son My 1 thermal power plant (TPP), Standing Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Luong Van Hai affirmed to maximally create the favorable conditions for Son My 1 thermal power project to be deployed and come into operation as soon as possible.
