Afternoon 8th September, the final meters of nearly 27 km of submarine cable transmitting electricity of the national power grid from the mainland  have got ashore at Ly Son island.

The Central Power Corporation (EVN CPC) and PRYSMIAN – Thai Duong Affiliation has held the Signing Ceremony for the 01/EPC-LS contract package for: design, materials and equipment supply, training, construction and installation for the 22kV submarine cable of power supply project for the Ly Son island district (Quang Ngai province).

According to information from Central Power Corporation (EVN CPC), the 22kV submarine cable for the project of power supplying Cham Island (Hoi An city, Quang Nam province) from the National electricity network, manufactured in Norway has been completed and shipped to Da Nang city.

The Central Power Corporation (EVN CPC) informed, the power project to Ly Son island is being realized on schedule, and expected to be checked and taken over on Sep. 30, 2014.

On Sep 28 morning , 2014, at Ly Son Island district (Quang Ngai province), Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee held an Inauguration Ceremony of the project supplying Ly Son Island district with electricity from the national power system by the submarine cable. The Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung attended and spoke at the ceremony.

To ensure the supply of fresh water for the daily need of Ly Son islanders in the coming summer, Doosan Vina continues to support the maintenance of two seawater desalination plants in An Binh island commune.

After more than 8 years of operation since the date of being awarded in August 2012, two seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plants on An Binh islet of Ly Son island district have been maintained, repaired by Doosan Vina and re-operated stability to supply enough drinking water for more than 100 households.

At 6 pm on June 16, 2021, EVN Repair Service Center (EVNPSC) in coordination with Hoa Binh Hydropower Company and related organizations successfully synchronized the unit No1 of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant to the national power system after this unit stopping for repair and replacing a cable section from oil insulation to dry one with a length of 600 meters and a weight of 11 tons from 220 kV output of the step-up transformer of unit 1 to 220 kV transition substation.

Hanoi will complete the full clearance of overhead power lines and telecom cables in around 200 roads, with a main focus on key streets and Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da and Hai Ba Trung districts from March 1 to December 31, 2016.

The Quang Ninh Electricity Company is carrying out the installation of solar panels for 15 households residing on Tran island, Thanh Lan commune, Co To Island district, the northern province of Quang Ninh.   

According to the Southern Power Corporation (EVN SPC), Phu Quy island has been powered by 24/24 hours since July 1st.

Duc Long Gia Lai Group and Merica Group (Germany) have signed a cooperation project on supplying electricity for Con Dao Island.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to guide Binh Dinh Provincial People Committee (PPC) to establish the investment project for power supplying Nhon Chau island commune, Binh Dinh Province; to appraise and approve the project in accordance with the current regulations.

On Jan 9 Morning, at Cua Dai ward (Hoi An city, Quang Nam province), the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) held a ceremony for groundbreaking power cable project for supplying Cu Lao Cham island (Quang Nam province) from national electricity network.

Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee (PPC) has just issued Announce No 84/TB-UBND dated February 28, 2022, on the conclusion of Quang Ngai PPC Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Hien at the meeting relating to Ly Son 1 Ingine wave power project.
