Denmark is willing to share its experience regarding technologies and products with Vietnam to help the country achieve goals of energy and sustainable growth, said a Danish official.

Afternoon of July 31, 2017, at the Government House, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Mr. Tran Nghia Long, Chairman of Kaidi Duong Quang New Energy Group and Mr. Tuong Vinh Kien, Vice General Director of Hoa Dung Asset Management Company Ltd (Hong Kong of China) who are visiting Vietnam to deploy investment cooperation. At the meeting with Prime Minister (PM), Chairman Tran informed, that Kaidi group is investing in thermal power prọects (TPP) in Vietnam and intends to expand investment activity in this sector.

Within the framework of the official visit of SRV President to Russian Federation from June 28 to july 1, 2017, on June 29 afternoon in Moscow, Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang and Russian President Vladimir Putin approved Russia - Vietnam Joint Statement, in which two leader have agreed to continue cooperation in building the Nuclear Scientific and Technologic Center in Vietnam and support consistent implementing Vietnam – Russia cooperation program in use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes signed on May 23, 2017in Hanoi.

On June 21, 2017, in Hanoi, the European Union (EU) Delegation to Vietnam and Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) held the present ceremony of Vietnam Energy Partner Group (VEPG) with the participation of more than hundred of representatives from Vietnam government agencies and organizations of development partners, finance, private sector and NGO. This is an opportunity for development partners and MOIT to exchange viewpoints on development of energy sector in Vietnam.

On May 18, 2017, speaking at the meeting with Deputy Minister (DM) of Energy of Russia Yuri Sentyurin, Vice Prime Minister (VPM) of Vietnam Trinh Dinh Dung said that the Vietnamese government will continue to support petroleum businesses of Vietnam and Russia to further strengthen cooperation to continuously extend investment in Vietnam as well as together look for the investment cooperation opportunities in Russia and the third country.

Phu Cuong Group, GE (US) and Mainstream Group (Ireland) have signed an investment cooperation agreement on wind power project in Soc Trang province with a capacity up to 800 MW and a total investment of about US$ 2 billion.

The Prime Minister (PM) has issued a plan to implement the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and asked the Ministry of Finance to allocate the budget for the ministries, agencies and localities to deploy the activities in accordance with the schedule and requirements stated in the Plan.

Tam Dao 05 lift off rig with a localization rate of 39% as a largest offshore project made in Vietnam so far can operate in condition of above 12 degree storm. After 30 month manufcturing the rig has been handed over to Vietsopetro investor.
