Successful installing Panel Row A of BK-21 base at Bach Ho field
BK-21 platform as an unmanned wellhead rig under Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro) is located at Bach Ho field, on continental shelf of Vietnam, in about 145 km to the southeast of Vung Tau city.
The BK-21 platform is posited nearly MSP6 and MSP7 fixed platforms. The product exploited from the BK-21 will be transported to the MSP6 platform by underground pipelines. BK-21 platform receives Gas-lift and seam pressing water from the MSP7 platform and power supply from the MSP6 platform.
The BK-21 including base structure with the docking station, temporary drilling platform, Riser and J-tube pipelines, superstructure block… is designed by Vietsovpetro for exploiting nine wells.
The Construction Enterprise has assigned as a general contractor for manufacturing on the shore the items of the project with the following progress schedules: First-cut by January 6, 2020; completing base block by May 29, 2020, superstructure block by September 9, 2020 and First-oil by October 30, 2020.
At the present, after nearly 3 months of implementation, over 64.11% of the project and 74.45% of the base block has been completed.
The completion to install Panel Row A with a weight of 210.8 tons is one of the important factors to speed up installing the spatial items and completing BK-21 in time.
