From the present time until 2030, the Ministry of Industry and Trade projects that the total mechanical market demand in Vietnam could surpass $300 billion. At present, however, the mechanical engineering sector in Vietnam satisfies less than one-third of the country's mechanical product demand.

The Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry has projected that the machinery and equipment market in Vietnam will surpass $300 billion by 2030. Machinery and equipment used in industrial sectors, including hydropower, thermal power, mining, and mineral processing, have an estimated value of $120 billion.
