Siemens acquires Altair to create the most complete AI-powered portfolio of industrial software

 - Siemens has completed the $10 billion acquisition of Altair Engineering Inc., a leading industrial simulation software provider. This strengthens Siemens' leadership in simulation and industrial AI by adding expertise in mechanical and electromagnetic simulation, high-performance computing (HPC), and data science. Integrating Altair’s technology will enhance Siemens’ Digital Twin and make simulation more accessible, helping companies accelerate product development.

Siemens has extended its leadership in simulation and industrial AI by completing the acquisition of Altair Engineering Inc. This acquisition strengthens Siemens' position as a leading technology company and expands its industrial software portfolio. The addition of Altair's technology into the Siemens Xcelerator open digital business platform will create the world’s most comprehensive AI-powered industrial software portfolio and enhance the Digital Twin offering. This move is a key component of Siemens' ONE Tech Company program.

The acquisition of Altair is part of Siemens’ ONE Tech Company program and will meaningfully increase Siemens’ digital revenue share.
