The conference on the operation and production of coal-fired power plants in the Northern region has just been held by Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) on the afternoon of June 19, 2023. There were 24 investors of coal-fired power plants in the Northern region in attendance, including the Power Generation Corporations 1, 2, 3 (EVN member units), Vinacomin Power Corporation, PetroVietnam Power Corporation, BOT investors and the investors of the independent power plants.

On the morning of December 15, 2022, in Thuan An ward, Long My town, Hau Giang province, Hau Giang Biomass Energy Joint Stock Company (HBE) held a ceremony for starting up the Hau Giang Biomass Power project- the first biomass power plant that Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) participates in implementing as EPC general contractor.

On the afternoon of July 16, in Hau Giang province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the inauguration ceremony of Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant, invested by Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN).

Electricity of Vietnam’s Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) is scheduled to commenceconstruction of a solar power plant in the island district of Con Dao, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in July this year in a bid to turn the district into a high-quality economic and tourism area.

On morning September 21, 2019, in Vinh Tan power center (Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province), Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) held the ceremony for inaugurating Vinh Tan 4 Thermal power plant (TPP). Mr. Truong Hoa Binh - Standing Deputy Prime Minister attended the ceremony and cut the inauguration ribbon.

Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee (PPC) has just signed a decision for BS Heidelberg Solar GmbH (Germany) to invest Thanh Hoa 1 solar power plant on an area of 170 ha in Nghi Son Economic Zone, Phu Lam commune, Tinh Gia District.

On August 30, 2016, the construction of a 37MW wind power plant began in Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district, south central Ninh Thuan province.

Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) has been implementing component projects in preparation for the building of the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plants, the first of their kind in Vietnam.

Dung Quat Economic Zone Management Board has  announced the boundary location of Dung Quat Thermal Power Plant (TPP) in Son Tra, Tan Hy villages, Binh Dong commune, Binh Son district.
