Starting up Hau Giang Biomass Power Plant project

- On the morning of December 15, 2022, in Thuan An ward, Long My town, Hau Giang province, Hau Giang Biomass Energy Joint Stock Company (HBE) held a ceremony for starting up the Hau Giang Biomass Power project- the first biomass power plant that Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) participates in implementing as EPC general contractor.

Hau Giang Biomass Power Plant Project with a capacity of 2x10 MW (including 2 traditional steam boilers, 2 turbines, and 2 generators) invested by HBE. The main fuel of the project is rise just transported to the project through the port system allowing the ships up to 300 tons to access.
The project will be financed from credit JCM of the Japanese Government through the Global Environmental Credit and the investor is deploying to sign the contract with EREX Joint Stock Company.
The Hau Giang biomass power project expects to be put into commercial operation by IV quarter of 2024 with an annual average generation of about 125 GWh and it will bring about 200 billion VND to Hau Giang provincial budget.
