In the report to the National Steering Committee for Electricity Development, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) proposed a mechanism to assign state corporations for the pilot investment in offshore wind power projects (There is reason to invest in the areas related to the national security, new technology and complex construction). On the experience basis, the Government should direct to establish a mechanism to select investors in the form of socialization.

On January 10, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Trinh Dinh Dung attended the Conference to summarize the work of 2019 and deploy the tasks of 2020 of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group (Vinacomin). At the conference, the DPM assigned Vinacomin to carry out eight key tasks in 2020.

In recent ten years (2007-2017), since foundation date, the Party Committee of Vinacomin has promoted the spirit of initiative and creativity in leading, directing and organizing to successfully carry out all the assigned tasks.

Silicon prices have risen 300%, which leads to prices of the purified metalloid polysilicon have touched $37.10 a kilogram, from $6.19 less than a year ago. Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) has just announced the decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam - EVN Chief Accountant to position of EVN Deputy General Director from October 15, 1818, according to Decision No. 268/ QD-EVN dated 4 October, 2018 of the Chairman of the Member Council of Electricity of Vietnam.  

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has recently signed the Decision No.389/QD -TTg on approving the investment project for extending Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant (HPP). Accordingly, the Hoa Binh HPP will be extended by an additional installing two unit with a capacity of 240 MW each (2x240MW).
