The 2018 Korea Energy Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy was the 38th largest ever event with a participation of the 6th National Museum of Renewable Energy.

The cooperation between Power Machines – PM (Russia) and Energy sector of Vietnam has been started for more than half a century by providing generators for Thac Ba hydropower plant, and then for Uong Bi, Pha Lai thermal power plants and Tri An, Hoa Binh hydropower plants. PM has returned to the Vietnamese market since the early 2000s by the participation in developing Yaly, Can Don, Se San 3 hydropower plants and Uong Bi thermal power plant (the second phase extension project). The International Exhibition Fair on Environment and Energy Technology (ENTECH HANOI 2014) to be held in Hanoi from May 21-23, has decided to award six green technology companies with typical energy saving products highly applicable to production and life, including products made in Vietnam.

With the strong commitment of the Prime Minister of Vietnam at COP26: "Vietnam will conduct greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050", increasing the proportion of wind and solar power projects in the power system should be given the highest priority. Although the wind and solar power projects are the clean energy sources, but their instability is causing difficulties and increasing the operating costs of Vietnam's power system. Applying the energy/electricity storage systems becomes necessary and important today and in the future. The scientific workshop "Applying energy storage system and efficient technology for renewable energy projects in Vietnam" was organized by the Scientific Council of Vietnam Energy Magazine in Hanoi. The workshop was an opportunity for the relevant stakeholders to share demands, challenges and experiences in applying energy storage systems (ESS) in Vietnam.

On April 19, 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam Energy Information Center (VEIC) in coordination with Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL) held the International Scientific Seminar for “Technology on Building Energy Efficiency”. In the seminar, the experts from Vietnam and Korea presented the solutions on designs, applications of technology on energy efficiency and environmental protection for buildings, industrial zones, commercial centers, hotels… in Vietnam and Korea.

In order to recognize, encourage and promote investors and enterprises investing in developing typical clean power projects, providing high-tech equipment and services for clean energy projects in 2021. On April 7, 2022, in Hanoi, in the presence of central state management agencies, the Committee on Science, Technology, and Environment of the National Assembly, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Climate Change Department (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment), Institute of Energy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Vietnamese and International organizations and enterprises... the Scientific Council of Vietnam Energy Magazine held a meeting to summarize voting and awarding certificates of "TOP 10 prestigious clean energy IPP investors in Vietnam 2021" and "TOP 10 enterprises with the best technology, equipment, and services of wind and solar power in Vietnam 2021".

Within the framework of the 26th Conference of the participates in the Framework Convention of United Nations on Climate Change (COP26) taking place in the United Kingdom, under the witness of Vietnamese Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (RE) and BCG Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Siemens Gamesa RE providing BCG Energy with equipment and technical solutions for wind power development in Vietnam.

In addition to its “Light up the Spratly Islands” project, Vietnamese renewable energy firm SolarBK, in 2009, installed a hybrid power supply system using both wind and solar energy with a capacity of 824kWh per day.

The Czech - Vietnam Energy Forum took place on February 20 in Hanoi, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, the Electricity of Vietnam , the Federation of Czech Industry and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam. Mr. Jozef Síkela - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Mr. Dang Hoang An - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Mr. Hynek Kmonicek – the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Vietnam co-chaired this forum.

The 3rd International Forum on innovations in energy “NewGen – Future Energy” was held in Moscow. The forum was organized by the Nuclear Information and Exhibition Center  Atomexpo with the support from ROSATOM and the Ministry of Energy of Russia.
