Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung offered the industry and trade sector’s Excellent Emulation Flag to the Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company (RALACO) for the fifth consecutive year in 2013. According to RALACO General Director Nguyen Doan Thang, the company has produced high-quality products thanks to the application of new science and technology.

Vietnam’s science and technology industry has strongly developed over 55 years.

The Ministry of Science and Technology and the Da Nang People’s Committee together launched a National Science and Technology Week on May 8 at the Da Nang University of Technology on the occasion of the Science and Technology Day (May 18).

Speaking at the National Conference on the Power Science and Technology - 2017 in Ha Noi on November 15, 2017, Mr. Ngo Son Hai, Vice General Director of EVN expressed: “Being a sector with the high technological content, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) always confirms science and technology as a key platform and a driving force for it to guarantee sufficient electricity supply for socio-economic development and defense security of the country”.

According to this Development Strategy, EVN will become a strong economic group with sustainable, efficient business operated by the market mechanism, equally competed with the enterprises of other economic sectors in accordance with the legal regulations.
