Mine Safety Center of the Institute of Mining Science and Technology - Vinacomin has just put into operation the Laboratory for researching self-combustible ability of coal.

According to information of the Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro), in the first 2 months of 2019, this Joint Venture reached the oil revenue of US$291.7 million (111.3% of the plan); paid taxes of US$118.8 million to the State budget (110.7% of the plan). The profit of Vietnamese side was US$21.5 million (110.1% of the plan) and Russian side - US$ 20.7 million (110.1% of the plan). Especially, Vietsovpetro has additionally put 5 oil wells into exploitation.

Jadestone Energy (JSE) - a multinational energy corporation headquartered in Singapore has proposed the Vietnamese Government to expand investment in searching, exploring, exploiting oil and gas in existing fields, as well as in developing the new offshore projects in the exclusive economic zone of continental shelf and on land of Vietnam.

On the afternoon of November 4, 2023, at Thanh Cong mining site, Hon Gai Coal Company, Vinacomin held a starting up ceremony for the Project “Coal exploitation with a deep level below -220 at Binh Minh Mine”.

Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) informed that PVN finished the 2022 plan for crude oil exploitation with 8.74 million tons on October 22, 2022, 2 months and 9 days ahead of schedule. In a general total of 10 months, PVN exploited 9.03 million tons, exceeding 3% of the 2022 year plan and equaling 99.4 % of the amount in the same period in 2021.
