Propose protection environmental fees for exploitation of crude oil, natural & coal gases and minerals

According to the Draft Decree, the protection environmental fees for crude oil, natural & coal and crude oil associated gases as: VND100000/ton, 50/m3 and 35/m3, respectively.

The protection environmental fees for exploiting crude oil, natural & coal gases are entire central budget revenues to assist activities on environmental protection and investment in accordance with the environmental protection and state budget laws

The protection environmental fees for exploiting minerals excluding crude oil, natural & coal gases are budget revenues that localities inherit entirely to  assist activities on environmental protection and investment in localities where minerals exploitations take place in accordance with the environmental protection and state budget laws on the concrete contents as: prevent and limit adverse impacts to the environment in locality of minerals exploitation, overcome environmental  depression and pollution caused by materials exploitation, maintain hygiene, protect and re-create natural landscape in locality of minerals exploitation.

Based on fees tariff in the Decree, the people’s councils of the provinces and central cities decide concrete environmental protection fees for each kind of mineral in the line with the actual situations in their locality in each period.
