JSE proposed to expand oil and gas exploitation on the continental shelf of Vietnam

Information from the Government Office said: On March 3, 2020, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung met Mr. Paul Blakeley, JSE President and CEO.

JSE is the parent company of Mitra Energy which currently is operating 8 Vietnam offshore and onshore oil and gas contracts. Jadestone has also carried out very actively programs on oil and gas exploration and exploration with the costs of US$ hundreds millions.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Paul Blakeley thanked the Government, ministries and agencies of Vietnam for their support and affirmed that the preferential policies on attracting investment, improving the business environment of Vietnam in recent time encouraged the international investors to invest in projects in Vietnam with a long-term and stable way.
Recognizing the efforts and investment results of JSE in recent time, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung affirmed: Vietnam always welcomes and creates the most favorable conditions for international investors with a financial potential and a lot of technical experience to invest, expand production and business.
In order to meet the energy demand for economic development and national energy security, Vietnam encourages businesses to cooperate for developing the oil and gas projects on the basis of ensuring harmonious benefits and bringing into play the most oil and gas effective potential for national development.
Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung highly appreciated JSE commitment to invest in expanding the production and business and also asked the enterprises to coordinate closely with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to complete the necessary procedures for ensuring investment efficiency.
