PVN finished the 2022 plan on the crude oil exploitation 2 months and 9 days ahead of schedule

 - Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) informed that PVN finished the 2022 plan for crude oil exploitation with 8.74 million tons on October 22, 2022, 2 months and 9 days ahead of schedule. In a general total of 10 months, PVN exploited 9.03 million tons, exceeding 3% of the 2022 year plan and equaling 99.4 % of the amount in the same period in 2021.

The PVN achieved production and business results in 10 months of 2022 due to the plants, projects and drilling rigs being ensured safely and thoroughly, the main fields keeping the exploiting rate with the high uptime factors and output management, technical solutions being applied continuously, timely, and synchronously.

In the first 10 months of 2022, PVN put 10 projects into operation including:

- RC rig at Dragon field, CTC-2 rig at Sturgeon field (both put into operation from October 28, 2022).

- H4 field North Bunga Orkid FO from April 30, 2022.

- Big Moon (Dai Nguyet) field from August 8, 2022. Besides, the gas, electricity, Nitrogenous fertilizer and other products were maximally satisfied for market demand, participating in supplying the essential products for production and ensuring national energy security.

The total turnover of PVN in the first 10 months of 2022 is estimated at VND 782 trillion, exceeding 40% of the year plan and increasing by 56% compared to the same period in 2021. Paying to the state budget is estimated at 112,2 trillion VND, exceeding 74% of the 2022 year plan, equivalent to implementing in 2021 the whole year (VND 112.5 trillion).

Especially, from the beginning of October 2022 until now, there has been a phenomenon that many private petrol shops (especially in the southern regions) must close and stop selling due to scarce supply and not abundant imported sources. This situation caused great pressure on the business system, the executive works and ensuring the sources. In that situation, PVN tried its best to supply the market.

Specifically, gasoline and oil production (excluding Nghi Son Refinery) in 10 months reached 581.4 thousand tons, exceeding 8% of the monthly plan, in the 10 months reached 5.74 million tons, exceeding 9% of the 10-month plan and equal to 93% of the year plan, exceeding 9% over the same period in 2021. In particular, Nghi Son Refinery in 10 months reached 648 thousand tons in, exceeding 15% of the monthly plan, and in 10 months, Nghi Son Refinery increased by 13% in comparison with the same period in 2021.
