Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee has just signed a Decision approving the policy of investment in Nam Binh 1 wind power project for Nam Binh Wind Power Company, with an investment of VND 1,023.9 billion. This project has a capacity of 30 MW, 25 years operating time.

On Sept. 08, 2020, the Deputy Prime Ministry Trinh Dinh Dung approved to adjust the capacity of Hoa Binh 5 wind power project (in Hoa Binh district, Bac Lieu province) which has been supplemented to the Adjusted Power Development Planning VII (PDP VII+) from 120 MW to 80 MW (for the first phase) and add the KOSY Bac Lieu wind power project (first phase) with a capacity of 40 MW (also in Hoa Bibh district) to PDP+.

Truong Thanh Vietnam Group in consortium with Sermsang Power Corporation Public - SSP (Thailand) held a starting ceremony for constructing V1-2 wind power project (WPP) with a capacity of 48 MW in Truong Long Hoa commune, Duyen Hai town, Tra Vinh province.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), on behalf of New Market Fund I, Asiapetro, Novasia Energy and Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee (PPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on developing La Gan offshore wind power project with a total capacity of up to 3.5 GW. The signing ceremony took place at the Vietnam 2020 High-Level Forum on July 22, 2020, in Hanoi.

On July 16, 2020, at Headquarter of Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Hanoi Branch (BIDV Hanoi Branch), BIDV Insurance Corporation (BIC) and Ben Tre Renewable Energy Joint Stock company (BTRE) organized the ceremony on insuring for Ben Tre V1-3 Wind Power Project.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has signed the Document No. 311/TTg-CN on March 10, 2020 for agreeing to adjust the capacity of Trung Nam wind power project from 105.75 MW to 151.95 MW Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Document No.1237/BCT-DL, dated 25/22020, on adjusting capacity of Trung Nam wind power project (that has been supplemented to Power Development Planning VII adjusted by Prime Minister) from 105.75 MW to 151.95 MW.

In Duyen Hai town (Tra Vinh province), Tra Vinh Ecotech Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for Hiep Thanh Wind Power Project.

February 22, 2020, in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province, BPP Vinh Chau Wind Power Co., Ltd. (Banbu Energy Group - Thailand) has started the first phase of Soc Trang 3 Wind Power Project (WPP).

On December 10, 2019, Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee (PPC) issued a Decision on approval for Huong Linh 4 Wind Power Company to invest in developing Huong Linh 4 Wind Power Project.

On May 05, 2019, in Hanoi, Enterprize Energy Group and Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) held a workshop on supplementing Thang Long wind power project into the National Power Development Planning (PDP) for the period of 2011-2020, with a vision up to 2030.
