Supplementing 30MW WPP in the west mountainous region of Quang Tri province

Huong Linh 4 project with a capacity of 30 MW, annual average output of 100 GWh including 9 wind turbines by 3.3 – 3.4 MW each will be developed on an area of 8 ha in Huong Hoa commune, Huong Hoa mountainous district, Quang Tri province.
The project having a total investment capital of 1,537 billion VND and life time of 50 years is expected to be put into commercial operation by December of 2021.
The west mountainous region of Quang Tri province, where the average wind speed reaches 6-7m/s is appreciated to have a great potential for wind power. Therefore, this region is welcoming tens of enterprises to invest trillions VND in wind power development.
By December 2019, Quang Tri province has more than 70 wind power projects in operation and many projects with a total capacity of over 3,600 MW among them there are 16 projects with a total capacity of 578 MW implementing investment, 45 projects with a total capacity of 2500 MW submitted to Ministry of Industry and Trade for approval, 8 projects with a total capacity of 400 MW approved by Quang Tri PPC for surveying to establish additional planning documents and the remaining projects studying by the investors.
