PetroVietnam calls for European investors

 - According to information from Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), PetroVietnam in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a conference “Meeting with European Economic and Trade Counsellors in Vietnam” in order to call for European investors to participate in its projects.

The conference provided European investors cooperation opportunities with PetroVietnam.

 

Mr Nguyen Tien Dung, Deputy General Director of PetroVietnam (PVN) said that during its development process, PVN has good relations with many countries, including European countries, especially in oil and gas search, exploration and exploitation field. PVN has attracted investors from many markets like Japan, the United States, South Korea and Europe which presently is a potential market that PVN is aiming at. In coming time, in order to maintain high and stable growth rate, PetroVietnam needs a huge investment capital for carring out its important projects. Therefore, PetroVietnam wishes to promote cooperation with European partners who have at hand a strong potential in finance, technology, experience and management. The Economic and Trade Counsellors are kindly requested to be effective bridges between European investors and PVN so that the investors can approach information on projects that PVN is calling for investment in.

Next, The Counsellors were informed in detail about opportunities for cooperation with PetroVietnam. The presented projects covers five main business areas of PVN including oil and gas search, exploration and exploitation, oil and gas processing, gas industry, power industry, oil and gas high-tech service. This is useful information about the projects that commissioners can convey to the European investors to better understand investment opportunities with PetroVietnam.

At the conference, the commissioners also raised many questions relating to cooperation opportunities with PetroVietnam, discussed co-operation mechanism with companies-members under PVN, incentives for participants in projects. In particular, Mr.Michel Drobniak, French Trade Commissioner and Ms.Natalia Sanginiti, Italian vice ambassador made speeches on sharing experience in cooperation with Vietnam, investment opportunities and climate in
