In Vung Tau city has been held the signing ceremony on comprehensive cooperation between the Singapore Enterprize Energy & RE Global Solution and the associate of PetroVietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation (PVC) and Vietsovpetro (VSP) to develop an offshore wind power project in Vietnam. The project is located in 30 km from Binh Thuan sea coast and has a capacity of 1200 MW, total investment level of US$ 3.5 billion. The investment of the project will be diverged in two phases as 600 MW in 2018 - 2021 and 600 MW in 2021 – 2023.

Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Chairman of the Member Council of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) just had a working meeting with Mr. Tan See Leng - Minister of Manpower Ministry and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Singapore, and the delegates of the Singapore Mission to Hanoi for exchanging views on cooperation in the energy field. At the meeting, the two sides expected that Vietnam and Singapore's power grids may be connected by 2035 for Singapore to buy offshore power electricity from Vietnam.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has signed the Document No. 311/TTg-CN on March 10, 2020 for agreeing to adjust the capacity of Trung Nam wind power project from 105.75 MW to 151.95 MW Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Document No.1237/BCT-DL, dated 25/22020, on adjusting capacity of Trung Nam wind power project (that has been supplemented to Power Development Planning VII adjusted by Prime Minister) from 105.75 MW to 151.95 MW.
