Vietnam prepares to welcome 22 wind power investors from Denmark

 - “During the visit to Vietnam of Denmark Crown Prince Successor in coming November, besides 3 investment funds, in a total 36 enterprises including delegation, there will be 22 enterprises in the wind power field to look for the investment cooperation opportunities.” - Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden, holding concurrently Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Latvia informed.

On the sidelines of the Danish Royal Family visit to Vietnam on November 1-2, 2022, with the theme "Together creating a greener future", the two sides will hold Denmark - Vietnam Summit Sustainable Energy Summit Forum and 2 seminars on the wind and effective energy.

At the forum will be present Danish Crown Prince Frederik, Princess Mary, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and a high-level business mission including 36 Danish enterprises (with 22 wind power and 14 effective energy enterprises). These are all leading Danish enterprises, with the most initiatives in the energy sector.

The forum and seminars will take place in parallel from 9:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on November 1, 2022 at Hanoi Meliá Hotel.

As planned, at the forum, many memorandums of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the energy sector will be signed.

In the most recent time, the delegation of Danish Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners - CIP led by Mr. Robert Helms - Member and Director of offshore wind power at Danish New Market Fund (under CIP) proposed to Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan – EVN General Director to cooperate in developing the large offshore wind power projects and the transmission power grid.

CIP is a fund management company specializing investment in developing the renewable energy projects, especially the offshore wind power projects. Currently, CIP is managing 8 funds, with a total capital of 19 billion USD and developing more than 38 GW of offshore wind power projects in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Japan, Korea and Taiwan…

In Vietnam, CIP is developing a 3.5 GW La Gan offshore wind power project in Binh Thuan province. CIP is also participating in researching and developing the new renewable energy technologies such as power-to-X (Power-to-X) solutions including green hydrogen, green ammonia, energy storage, energy islands and electricity transmission in Vietnam.
