At 18.00 on 23 May 2017, Unit#1 of Thai Binh1 Thermal Power Plant (TPP) has successfully connected to the National Power System.

On the morning of 23 February 2022, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Le Van Thanh came to check the progress of the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Project (TPP). DPM welcomed the important milestone of the Thai Binh 2 TPP as the first igniting and considered that this is an important milestone for the project to finish in 2022.
