On morning September 21, 2019, in Vinh Tan power center (Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province), Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) held the ceremony for inaugurating Vinh Tan 4 Thermal power plant (TPP). Mr. Truong Hoa Binh - Standing Deputy Prime Minister attended the ceremony and cut the inauguration ribbon.

At 9:00 am, on June 22, 2019, in Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province, the Electricity of Vietnam Generating Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO 3) held a celebrating ceremony for the commercial power generation of Vinh Tan 2 solar power project (SPP).

  The solar power project with a capacity of 6.2 MW and an average annual output of 10.5 million kWh in Vinh Tan power center has been successfully synchronized with the national power system.

On 09th March, 2014, at Vinh Tan Power Center (Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province), EVN held the Beginning Ceremony for the construction of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal power Plant. 

At 10:30, on April 22, 2019, in Vinh Tan Power Center, the Extended Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Project (TPP) was the first time successfully synchronized with the national power system exceeding the schedule for 71 days in comparison with the plan under the Contract as July 1, 2019. 

Mr. Phan Ngoc Cam Thanh, Deputy General Director of Vinh Tan company Ltd. Informed that Vinh Tan 1 thermal power plant (TPP) will be put into commercial operation earlier than the plan for a nearly year, in which, the unit#1 for 5 months and unit#2 for 6 months.

According to the information from Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), at 10:25 on Oct. 3, 2017, the unit No2 of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant (TPP) has been successfully synchronized with the National Power System. This is an important milestone for completing the test to put the unit No2 into commercial operation in August of 2018.

On April 23, at Vinh Tan Power Centre, Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) held a ceremony on Groundbreaking construction of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Project (TPP) Extension.

In the morning of July 17th, 2014 in Hanoi, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) held the Loan Agreement signing Ceremony of the Japan International Corporation Bank (JBIC) for Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant Project.

On 17 February 2016, Doosan Vina started the Year of the Monkey on the Lunar Calendar Doosan Vina’s Boiler Shop shipped 354 tons of high tech boiler components to the Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plant in Binh Thuan Province. This is also the first shipment for Doosan Vina of 2016.

After nearly 15 months of construction, on June 17th, 2015, at the Vinh Tan Commune, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province, the consortium of Doosan Vina contractors held a ceremony to lift and place the "Heavy Girder" for Unit 1 of Vinh Tan 4.

According to the information from GENCO 3, at 12:20 on June 27, 2017, coal burning for the first time at Unit#2 (600MW) of Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plant (TPP) was successfully implemented This is an important milestone as a basis for following testing steps with an aim to commercial operating Unit#2 at the end of 2017.

According to Vietnam Electricy (EVN), in the framwork of China - Vietnam - Laos Electricity Sectors Summit held from 24th  to 29th in China, EVN and Shanghai Electricity Cooperation (SEC) had a meeting and signed an agreement to remove unsolved problems and make a consistence of measures to speed up the progress of Thermal Electricity power projects Quang Ninh and Vinh Tan 2.
