The Extended Vinh Tan 4 TPP has been successfully synchronized with the NPS

This event marks an important step towards to put the project into commercial operation before October 31, 2019 as the goal placed by Electricity of Vietnam (EVN).
The extended Vinh Tan 4 TPP has been the first time successfully synchronized with the national power system exceeding the schedule for 71 days.
The extended Vinh Tan 4 TPP with a capacity of 600 MW is invested by EVN in Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan Province.
The project has been constructed on this place with an aim to take full advantage of existing infrastructure such as land premises, port, power grid connection to the national power system and the other systems used in conjunction with Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Project (2x600 MW)... This is one of the key projects of Vietnamese government, included in the VII Power Planning to satisfy the urgent electricity supply for southern provinces in coming years.

1/ Investor: EVN
2/ Project management consulting unit: Generating Corporation 3 (Genco 3)/Vinh Tan Thermal Power Project Management Board.
3 / EPC General Contractor: DMPP Contractor Complex including Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Group (DHI - Korea), Mitsubishi Corporation (MC - Japan), Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2 - Vietnam) and the Joint Stock Company of Pacific Group (PACIFIC - Vietnam).
4/ Construction Supervision Consultants: The Consortium of Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 (PECC3); Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (PECC4) and foreign sub-consultant.
5/ Design capacity: 1 x 600 MW (using the boiler with technology of supercritical parameters).
6/ Total investment: VND 23,926 billion.
7/ Date for starting construction: April 23, 2016.
