Signing the Gas Purchase Agreement from Su Tu Trang Field (phase 2A)

Su Tu Trang is a condensate gas field discovered in 2003. Cuu Long Joint Operating Company (JOC) carried out a long-term test exploitation plan for the field in 2012, in order to gather more information about the long-term exploitation capacity of the seams.
On August 7, 2015, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1289/QD-TTg for approving the development plan (phase 1) of Su Tu Trang field and the first gas flow from this field has given since November 2016.
On December 6, 2019, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 91/QD-TTg on the phase 2A development plan of Su Tu Trang field to make the basis for the next phase 2B development plan of this field.

According to Su Tu Trang GPA (phase 2A), the gas and condensate productions of this field is about 0.6 billion m3/year and about 1 million barrels/year and the first commercial flow is expected in late 2020 or early 2021.
The success of the Su Tu Trang project (phase 2A) will participate an important contribution in increasing the production output of PVN, bring economic efficiency to the Contractors and also contribute to protecting the sea sovereignty, security and ensuring energy for the country.
