Energizing the second item of the third line from the 500 kV project

Units participating in the project witnessed the moment of energizing.

Expansion item at Pho Noi 500kV Transformer Station under the 500kV the third 3 line project (Thermal Power Plant Nam Dinh 1 - Pho Noi) invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), NPMB on behalf of EVNNPT, manage the project.

The project is designed by Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4, construction, material and equipment installation by Minh Quang Joint Stock Electro-Mechanical Company and Electrical Joint Stock Company undertakes construction, installation of materials and equipment, a computer configuration by the Power Transmission Technical Services Company and the Power Transmission Company 1 - the electrical supervision consulting unit and the unit receiving management and operation.

The expanded feeder section compartment at the 500 kV Pho Noi Substation is built on the reserve land area for two 500-line compartments within the existing 500 kV Pho Noi substation.

It is energizing the feeder expansion item at 500 kV Pho Noi Transformer Station to be ready for energizing two circuits of 500 kV on the third line (section from the Thermal Power Plant Nam Dinh 1 - Pho Noi ) to strengthen connectivity of the electricity system, improving stability and safety of power supply.

It also helps increase the stability of reserves at the North-Central interface, combined with the 500 kV in the third line segment (Quang Trach - Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh 1) contributing to creating a strong connection from the center of North Central power plants to the load center in the Northern region, which is an important basis for safe, reliable, stable and optimal operation of the power system, contributing to reducing operating costs of the power system.

Besides, it transmits the capacity of thermal power plants in the North Central region as well as renewable energy plants in the North Central region and surrounding areas into the national power system, providing electricity to the regional load centers in the Northern region.

This is the second item of the 500 kV the third line project to be completed energized (previously it was the extension item of 500 kV Quang Trach transformer station). The completion of this item is an important motivation for the entire construction site to be determined to complete the 500 kV third line project, to meet the Prime Minister's direction requirements./.
