PetroVietnam exceedingly completed 2014 first half year plan

In detail, in the first 6 months of the year, production of the crude oil is estimated as 13.97 million tons of equivalent oil, increasing for 6% in comparison with that in the same period of last year, of which, the crude oil production is about 8.5 million tons, increasing for 1.8% and the gas production reached 5.43 billion cubic meters, increasing for 2.5%.

By the end of June 2014, the Group had completed exploration and appraisal of 10 drilling wells and is conducting the additional exploration of 7 other wells.  Overseas, PVN in cooperation with the partners also drilled 11 oil wells (of which, 9 wells were completed and 2 wells are under the implementation). Besides, PVN has discovered two new oil and gas fields as well, that are: Ham Rong Nam -1X lot 102-106/10 and Sao Vang -1X lot 05-1b.

Recently, PetroVietnam has put into exploitation of two new fields as Diamond of the lot 01 & 02 (from May 18) and Thang Long - Dong Do  (from June 6).

PVN forecasts, it’s production, this year, should be   about 16.2 million tons of oil and 9.5 billion cubic meters of gas.

For compensation of gas shortage in Southwest region due to the stop of gas supply from PM3 – Ca Mau pipeline for maintenance and repair of equipment  since July 6 to 19, PVN has to mobilize an additional gas amount of 4,000-5,000 cubic meters per day from Nam Con Son and Cuu Long fields for power plants in Southeast region.
