The Da Nhim – Ham Thuan – Da Mi (DHD) Hydropower Joint Stock Company in cooperation with related units successfully organized synchronization for the floating solar power project on reservoir of Da Mi hydropower plant (HPP) at 13h46 of May 13, 2019.

Da Mi Solar Power Plant with installed capacity of 47.5 MWp was built on the surface of Da Mi hydro power plant at La Ngau commune, Tanh Linh district and Da Mi, La Da communes, Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province. Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydro Power Joint Stock Company (the Project Owner) has begun researching and implementing investment procedures since 2017 with total cost estimated more than 1.400 billion VND.

On December 12, 2015, at the Da Nhim Hydropower Plant (HPP) in Lam Son commune, Ninh Son district, Ninh Thuan province, Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi  JSC under the Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVN Genco1) held a groundbreaking ceremony of Da Nhim hydropower plant  extending project.

At 10:45 AM of May 27, 2019, Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company (DHD) organized powering the floating solar power project (SPP) on reservoir of Da Mi hydropower plant (HPP).

Executing commitment as specified at Loan Agreement with ADB to implement Da Mi solar power project, on 31 August 2020, DHD cooperated with Women Union of Ham Thuan Bac district to organize a training course related to gender equity and health care for women and children at Da Mi and La Da communes, Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province. There were around 70 participants representation for 50 households, who were impacted by land acquisition to build 110kV transmission lines of Da Mi solar power project, participated in the course.

On October 2, 2019, in Hanoi, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a loan agreement worth 37 million USD with Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company (DHD) to finance a floating solar power project, with a capacity of 47.5 MWp on the current reservoir of Da Mi Hydropower Plant.

On January 20, 2019, in Ba Cang village, Khanh Hiep commune, Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province, the Song Cho Hydropower Joint Stock Company (HPJSC) held a ceremony for inaugurating the Song Cho 2 Hydropower Plant.

On January 8, 2019, Quang Ngai 30/4 Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony to put into operation Son Tra 1 Hydropower project.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has recently signed the Decision No.389/QD -TTg on approving the investment project for extending Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant (HPP). Accordingly, the Hoa Binh HPP will be extended by an additional installing two unit with a capacity of 240 MW each (2x240MW). 

The 1,200-megawatt Lai Chau Hydropower Plant has been put into commercial operation one year ahead of schedule, becoming the third large hydropower station on the Da River.

The Trung Nam Hydroelectric Corp on April 2 inaugurated the Krong No 3 hydropower plant in Da Tong commune, Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province.

The Vietnam National Coal and Minerals Industrial Group (Vinacomin) on December 20 inaugurated Dong Nai 5 Hydropower plant in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, one of the key projects in the country’s Power Development Plan 7.

On the morning of May 22, 2022, a ceremony for again electricity generation of unit 1 of xekaman 3 hydropower plant, invested by Viet- Lao Viet Lao Power Joint Stock Company took place in Dak Cheung district, Sekong province, Lao PDR.

On Jan 21,2016, An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBANK) - Hanoi Branch and Hua Na Hydropower Joint Stock Company (JSC) have signed a VND300 billion credit contract to add the capital for Hua Na Hydropower Plant (HPP) in Nghe An province.

A 9MW hydropower plant was inaugurated in Da Bac district in the northern province of Hoa Binh on January 7, bringing electricity to far-flung areas in the mountainous district.
