Powering the Da Mi floating SPP

The Engineers and workers of DHD and contractors prepare for the time of powering of the floating SPP on Da Mi HPP reservoir
The floating SPP on Da Mi HPP reservoir with a capacity of 47.5 MWp and average power generation of 70 million kWh per year is invested by around 1,500 billion VND from DHD Joint Stock Company.
The project includes 143.940 solar panels installed on an area of 50 ha on Da Mi HPP reservoir, in La Ngau commune (Tanh Linh district) and Da Mi and La Da communes (Ham Thuan Bac district), Binh Thuan province.
Overview of floating SPP on Da Mi HPP reservoir
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chien - Deputy General Director of DHD said: The SPP successful connection to the national power system for 33 days earlier than the schedule plan as June 30, 2019, has an important meaning in timely contributing to supplement clean energy for Southern region in these very hot days.
On behalf of the investor, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chien acknowledged the efforts of Power Project Management Board 1 (under the Electricity of Vietnam) and contractors for project design, consultancy and construction. He also expressed the thanks to Binh Thuan provincial authorities for creating the best conditions in ground clearance for 110 kV transformer substation to timely free the capacity of the SPP.
Da Mi HPP reservoir has the potential to install SPP with a total capacity of about 300 MWp. Therefore, in the coming time DHD will continue to study for extending the floating SPPs on this reservoir.
DHD Joint Stock Company as an unit of EVN Genco 1, at the present is managing and operating 4 hydropower plants including: Da Nhim, Ham Thuan, Da Mi and Song Pha with a total capacity of 642.5 MW. This company has much experience in managing, operating, repairing, construction investing power plant projects.
