Earth Hour 2022: The whole country saved 309,000 kWh of electricity

The Earth Hour is an initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to raise public awareness about climate change and energy saving around the world.
The Earth Hour campaign in Vietnam, launched by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), has attracted the attention and response of the people in 63 provinces and cities with a motive force of EVN in implementing the program.
The Earth Hour 2022 campaign in Vietnam with a subject
“Shape our Future” was co-organized by the International Fund for Nature Protection, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Industry and Trade for a goal to promote the awareness of individuals and organizations to respond to climate change and shortage of energy sources due to human exploitation.
Communication activities of the Earth Hour 2022 campaign were carried out in the direction of innovation, creativity, and practicality for bringing about more high and widespread propaganda effectiveness... Along with other countries around the world, Earth Hour campaign
2022 in Vietnam focused more on online activities and social networks.
In the spirit of active response to the Earth Hour 2022 Campaign, with the goal of more innovation and creativeness, EVN and its member units deployed propaganda on electricity saving and Earth Hour Campaign response through information, images, video clips, electronic information pages, social networking sites of the units.
Besides, the Power Corporations and Provincial Power Companies carried out propaganda about economic and efficient electricity use and environmental protection in the customer transaction locations, headquarters of units in the whole of March 2022.
Especially, EVN units agitated the organizations, offices and customers to turn off the lights and no necessary equipment in Earth Hour.
With the meaningful purpose of the program, the Earth Hour 2022 campaign will not only stop at the iconic turning off lights but this even will continue to spread to all organizations and individuals to act together for the sustainable development of the Green Earth through practical activities on energy saving and environmental protection.
