On November 5, 2020, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Song Hau 1 Petroleum Power Project Management Board (Investor), and the General Contractor - Vietnam Machinery Erection Corporation (Lilama) successfully set on the first fire boiler of unit 2 of Song Hau 1 thermal power project (TPP).  This event marks a milestone in success with a planned progress of the project.

In the morning of April 20, 2018, at Song Hau 1 thermal power project (TPP) in Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province, EPC General Contractor - Lilama Corporation successfully installed the generator of the Unit#1.

The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) informed, unit No1 of the Song Bung 4 Hydropower Plant (HP) has been synchronized with the National Power System through Thanh My 500/220kV transformer substation.  

In the morning of July 31st in Chau Thanh, Hau Giang, Lilama Corporation in coordination with  Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and other contractors conducted the commencement ceremony of installing steel structures for Boiler 1 of Song Hau 1 thermal power plant.

On the morning of 23 February 2022, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Le Van Thanh came to check the progress of the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Project (TPP). DPM welcomed the important milestone of the Thai Binh 2 TPP as the first igniting and considered that this is an important milestone for the project to finish in 2022.

On the May 13 afternoon, at Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant (TPP), the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) held a ceremony for successful synchronizing unit 1 of Thai Binh 2 TPP with the National Power System.

On the morning of February 10, 2022, Nghi Son 2 Electric Co., Ltd. in coordination with the investor, Korea Electricity Corporation (Kepco) and Marubeni Group, Tohoku Company (Japan) held the inauguration ceremony of unit No. 1 of Nghi Son BOT Thermal Power Plant 2.

At Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant project (Hai Ha commune, Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province), the general contractor and joint venture of contractors have successfully synchronized unit 1 into the national power sýtem. This event marks the efforts of the investor, general contractor and construction contractors to overcome difficulties in the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic.

On May 12, Limama EPC general contractor  handed over the Unit No. 2 of Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant (TPP) to the Petroietnam (PVN) investor for commercial operation.

On the afternoon of July 16, in Hau Giang province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the inauguration ceremony of Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant, invested by Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN).

On May 16, the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung  attended the Ceremony and ordered to start construction of  Song Hau 1 thermal power plant (TPP).

On April 10 afternoon, in Hanoi, the ceremony of EPC contract signing for Song Hau 1 thermal power plant project has taken place between Lilama Corporation and Owner Vietnam Oil and Gas Group

Information from Song Hau 1 Petroleum Power Project Management Board (under Vietnam Oil and Gas Group - PVN) said: As of March 15, 2021, the construction of Song Hau 1 thermal power project (TPP – 1200 MW) reaches a cumulative progress about 95.78% including construction of 98.12%, design of 99.91%, procurement of 99.91% and test of 74.85%.

According to information from PVN, on November 23, 2016 there was taken place the ceremony of signing credit contract and commercial loan contract with total value of USD 1.2 billion, between PVN and Korea Export-Import Bank (KEXIM) and Consortium of Nine Foreign Commercial Banks with the clue of Citibank for financing Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant (TPP) capacity of (2x600) MW. This TPP is a key project in Power Planning VII invested by PVN and allowed for development by special mechanism application to timely meet high electricity need in southern region in period to 2020.  

Toyo Ink Group Berhad is promoting a plan to find the partners for capital contributing the investment capital to the US$ 3.5 billion Song Hau 2 BOT Thermal Power Project (TPP), Hau Giang province, Southern Vietnam that has been assigned to the Group for studying development.
