Successfully installing the Unit#1 of Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant

The successful installation of the Unit#1 is one of the important milestones in installing the main equipment of the Song Hau 1 TPP.
The generator of Unit#1 provided by Doosan Contractor (Korea) having a capacity of 600MW and weigh of about 288 tons was raised to the height of 18m and moved for a length of 70m, then put in place within a time of about 10 hours.
After completing the installation of the generator of Unit#1, Lilama General Contractor will install the turbine of the unit within 12 months.
As planned, Unit#1 of Song Hau 1 TPP will be completed by the July of 2020, and Unit #2 - about 2 months later.
The 1200 (2x600) MW Song Hau 1 TPP is located in Song Hau Power Center including three TPPs with a total capacity of 5200MW. The project is invested by Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) on an area of 115 ha in Mai Dam town, Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province.
This is one of the key projects under National Power Development Planning VII approved by the Prime Minister. In accordance with the Decision No. 2414/QD-TTg dated 11/12/2013 of the Prime Minister, the project is allowed to apply specific mechanisms and policies for construction investment in the urgent power projects.
